Our Story

Pekeza Capital was born out of the frustrations that face African entrepreneurs in accessing quality venture building support and consultancy in their quest to solve African problems. We have turned these frustrations into opportunities to partner with the startup ecosystem to unlock those latent ideas.

Pekeza comes from two Swahili words Pepea (fly) and Ekeza (Invest). Our aim is to spearhead transformational growth of entrepreneurship in the continent through activating, venture building and scaling African tech startups that are solving pressing African problems that are still underfunded.

We are committed to creating an ecosystem of investors, entrepreneurs and accelerators to bring solutions that address these social-economic challenges in the continent:

  • Access to quality and affordable Healthcare using HealthTech
  • Sustaining food security using AgriTech
  • Delivery of quality and affordable education using EdTechs
